Isometric Projection of a Cone

This post explains the simple steps to draw the isometric projection of a cone.
Let’s consider isometric projection of a cone is to drawn for diameter 45 mm and the axial height of 70 mm whose axial is perpendicular to HP and parallel to VP.

Draw the principal axis OA and OB of length 45 mm inclined at 30° to the horizontal base line.
Complete the box, and draw the centre lines.
Draw the ellipse on the isometric box either by four centre method or circular arc method.
Now, let’s draw using four centre method.
Draw the vertical axis of length 70 mm in an upright position from the centre point.
Join the visible edges starting from the vertex to tangent of circle by thick lines.
Complete the isometric projection of cone with dimensioning and direction of viewing.
