Isometric Projection of a Hemisphere

Isometric Projection of a Hemisphere
This post explains the simple steps to draw the isometric projection of a hemisphere.

A hemisphere is a solid referred as half of a sphere.
Let’s consider isometric projection of a sphere is to be drawn for a diameter of 50 mm resting on HP.

Draw the principal axis OA and OB of length 50 mm inclined at 30° to the horizontal base line.
Complete the box, and draw the centre lines.
Mark centre point as P.
Draw the ellipse on the isometric box either by four centre method or circular arc method.
Now, let’s draw using four centre method.
With P as a centre, half of the hemisphere diameter as radius draw the semicircle downwards.
Complete the isometric projection of a hemisphere with dimensioning and direction of viewing.
